Gemma Dante, owner of a New Age shop, is a good witch, yet she hasn't been successful in her search for a man. One night she and her best friend cast a spell for Mr. Right, and Gemma asks for someone who accepts her as she is. When she tries to envision him, all she sees is a penetrating pair of blue eyes. Meanwhile, her neighbor, Sean Kennealy, former stockbroker, now a New York firefighter, has a heck of a time sleeping with the aroma of her incense wafting up to him. So he and a couple of his fellow firefighters don their gear and knock on Gemma's door, pretending to think her apartment is on fire.
